The finer details of Hunchy Hideaway Before you check-in, get to know the intimate details of Hunchy Hideaway with our list of the most frequently asked questions. We hope to have covered most things, if you have further questions or queries please contact us. General Facilities Q: Is Hunchy Hideaway suitable for families? A: Hunchy Hideaway has been designed for couples only. Each cottage has one queen sized bed only. Q: Are pets allowed? A: Sorry, no pets are allowed at Hunchy Hideaway. Q: Is there a restaurant at Hunchy Hideaway? A: While Hunchy Hideaway does not have a restaurant, all cottages are fully self contained. We do provide BBQ platters, Seafood platters and cheese platters (which must be ordered at least 24 hours in advance), or you can bring your own provisions. However, the wonderful restaurants of Montville are only 2km away. Q: Is smoking allowed? A: Smoking is permitted outside only, ashtrays are provided. Please do not smoke inside your cottage. Q: Are there private outdoor areas? A: All cottages are designed with private veranda areas. Our cottages are quite isolated from each other to ensure privacy and enjoyment of surrounding bushland. Q: Are there barbecue facilities? A: All cottages have comfortable outdoor furniture and BBQ’s for alfresco dining when you may enjoy the company of the local possums. Q: Is the beach accessible? How far away is it? A: The Sunshine Coast beaches are 25 minutes drive from Hunchy Hideaway. Q: Does Hunchy Hideaway accept credit cards? A: Payments can be made securely online at the time of booking or at reception by cash, eftpos or credit (we accept VISA and Mastercard). Bank transfers by prior arrangement only. Accommodation Q: Is there a CD player in the cottage? A: Yes, bring your favourite CD's. Q: Is there a DVD player in the cottage? A: Yes, bring your favourites from home or ask at reception and you can borrow some of ours. Q: Is it possible to connect to internet in my cottage? A: No, relax and leave the computer at home! Q: Is there a selection of pillows available in the cottage? A: Always, all cottages are prepared with four pillows per bed and two extra in the cupboard. Q: Are there TV's in the cottages? A: Yes, all cottages have a TV. We cannot get the local free to air channels but a satelite dish will bring you free to air channels from central Australia! Q: Does each cottage have a telephone that can dial directly outside? A: Only Panorama Cottage in Maleny has a telephone which can be used for local calls or to receive calls. The number is 07 5435 2976. Only Telstra Next G phones will work in most of the cottages and other providers are intermittent. Ask at reception if you need to make an urgent call. Q: Do the cottages have a veranda? A: All cottages have a private veranda with outdoor furniture and a BBQ. Please see our lodge descriptions for details. Dining Q: Do you have a restaurant? A: No, Hunchy Hideaway has designed each cottage to be fully self contained so that you can cook for yourself. BBQ, Seafood and cheese platters are available (with a minimum or 24 hours notice) and the wonderful Montville restaurants are only 2km away. You will find a selection of menus for local restaurants and take aways in your compendium. Local dining options Q: Is breakfast included in the price and what type of breakfast is served? A: All packages include a continental breakfast hamper for the first two mornings of your stay with a bacon and eggs platter available on request. All breakfast items will be in your cottage when you arrive for you to cook and eat at your leisure. Extra breakfast items can be ordered at reception. Arrival and Departure Q: What time can we check in? A: Check in time is after 2pm unless otherwise arranged. Q: When is the departure time? A: Check-out time is10:30am but late checkout can be arranged subject to availability of cottage. More Questions?
